Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RenovateRadar ("RenovateRadar," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use renovateradar.us and our related services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Project requests (homeowners & property managers). When you request quotes, we collect your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, project address, and the project details you provide (service, budget range, timeline, description).
  • Contractor accounts. When a contractor lists a business, we collect business name, contact details, service areas, trades, and verification documents such as licenses and proof of insurance.
  • Account & usage. Login credentials, messages, quotes, projects, invoices, and reviews created through the Services.
  • Automatically collected. Device and usage data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages) collected through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use information

  • To match your project request with verified local contractors and operate the Services.
  • To create and manage accounts, quotes, contracts, scheduling, and invoicing.
  • To verify contractor licensing and insurance and maintain platform trust and safety.
  • To communicate with you about requests, matches, and account activity.
  • To measure and improve the Services, and to display advertising on public pages.
  • To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues, and to comply with law.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described here:

  • Matched contractors. When you submit a project request, your project details are sent to a small set of matching contractors. Your contact details are revealed to the contractor who accepts your request so they can reach you — that request becomes theirs exclusively and is not resold to competitors.
  • Service providers. Vendors who help us run the Services — for example hosting, email delivery, analytics (Google), and subscription billing for contractors (Stripe) — under contracts that limit their use of your information.
  • Legal & safety. When required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

RenovateRadar does not process payments between homeowners and contractors and holds no escrow; homeowners pay contractors directly.

4. Calls, texts & marketing consent

When you submit a project request and provide consent, you authorize RenovateRadar and the matched contractor(s) to contact you at the phone number and email you provide — including by autodialed or prerecorded calls and text messages — about your request, even if your number is on a Do-Not-Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, and of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.

5. Cookies, analytics & advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and serve ads. This includes:

  • Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
  • Google AdSense and other advertising partners, which may use cookies to serve and personalize ads on our public pages based on your visits here and elsewhere.

You can manage ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings or opt out of participating vendors at aboutads.info. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Accounts that never verify their email are removed automatically, and you may request deletion at any time (see below).

7. Your choices & rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. Depending on where you live — for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) — you may have rights to know what we collect, to request deletion, to correct information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by California law.

To exercise any right, contact us through our contact page. We will verify your request before acting on it.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Third-party links

The Services may link to third-party websites, including contractor websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where appropriate we will provide additional notice.
