Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and RenovateRadar ("RenovateRadar," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of renovateradar.us and our related services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. What RenovateRadar is
RenovateRadar is a marketplace and software platform that connects homeowners and property managers with independent local contractors ("Contractors"). We are not a contractor, builder, or party to any agreement between a homeowner and a Contractor, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work. Any contract for services is solely between the homeowner and the Contractor.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate, current information and verify your email when prompted. Accounts that never verify their email may be removed automatically.
4. For homeowners & property managers
- Requesting quotes is free. Provide accurate project details so we can match you well.
- When you submit a request, your project details are sent to matching Contractors, and your contact details are shared with the Contractor who accepts your request so they can reach you.
- By submitting a request and providing consent, you agree to be contacted by RenovateRadar and matched Contractors as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You are responsible for evaluating, selecting, contracting with, and paying any Contractor directly. Do your own due diligence before hiring.
5. For contractors
- You must hold and maintain all licenses required for your trade and jurisdiction and carry valid general-liability insurance, and you must provide accurate verification documents on request.
- You must represent your business, services, credentials, and reviews truthfully and comply with all applicable laws, including consumer-protection, licensing, and marketing rules.
- Leads you accept are exclusive to you and may not be resold or shared. You are responsible for your own communications, quotes, contracts, work, and payment collection.
- Listing is free. Optional Featured plans and other paid features are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe) until cancelled; fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- We may verify, decline, suspend, or remove any Contractor or listing that we believe violates these Terms or presents a risk to users.
6. Verification & your own due diligence
We review Contractor licensing and insurance during onboarding and may display verification badges, but we do not continuously monitor Contractors and do not guarantee their qualifications, availability, conduct, pricing, or the quality, safety, or legality of their work. Verification is not an endorsement. You remain responsible for your own due diligence before hiring.
7. Payments
RenovateRadar does not process payments between homeowners and Contractors and holds no escrow — homeowners pay Contractors directly. Contractor subscription and feature fees are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the fees you select.
8. Reviews & content
Reviews must reflect genuine, first-hand experience with a completed RenovateRadar project. Do not post false, misleading, defamatory, or incentivized reviews, or content you do not have the right to share. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant RenovateRadar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote it in connection with the Services. We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish content at our discretion.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate any law or the rights of others, or provide false information;
- Scrape, harvest, or misuse data, or circumvent the platform to poach leads or avoid fees;
- Interfere with or attempt to breach the security or integrity of the Services;
- Use the Services to send spam or unlawful, harassing, or deceptive communications.
10. Intellectual property
The Services, including our software, design, and the RenovateRadar name and logo, are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works except as permitted.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any Contractor or homeowner will meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RenovateRadar will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of the Services or any dealings with a Contractor or homeowner. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RenovateRadar and its affiliates from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, your dealings with other users, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services or our users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which RenovateRadar is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to resolve disputes in the courts located there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
